| I want to send out a message to all of those looking to move to Archstone. Be forewarned, that your items may get stolen. I have lived in the community for almost two years and though I enjoy the comfort of my apartment and the quick turnaround on maintenance problems, I am very upset that I have had my car radio stolen in the "secure" garage about 6 months ago. The police caught the person stealing it and thankfully I can pick up the car stereo now. When this information was shared with the management they simply wrote it down and did nothing about it nor did they follow up with me. Well it has happened again, my new Dell computer and Specialized mountain bike were stolen from my "secure" storage room for which I pay an additional $60 a month for. I again ran to the management office and again they wrote it down and told me to call the police. This means I will never see my new computer or my less than one year old bike. They wipe their hands of the situation and don't do anything to increase the security of the garage or the storage units. I know there are so many people at Archstone that have had items stolen and I beg them to share their stories online. Maybe the abundance of negative criticism will really put a needle under their butts to do something.
